"No deal" means we can move to the trade negotiation stage, kicking the can down the road means we can't. Dieter Kempf talks a lot of sense, perhaps we should hire him for the next set of negotiations. The useless twats we have now aren't up to the job.Originally posted by BlasterBates View PostHis heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain... -

Yep, we can move straight to the trade negotiation stage.Originally posted by Mordac View Post"No deal" means we can move to the trade negotiation stage, kicking the can down the road means we can't. Yes, we have a lovely trade deal, but it costs £10billion a year, and we can't even control our own fishing rights. Get back in your box, knob-ead...Originally posted by Eirikur View PostThe trade deal better then the best possible trade deal we already have? His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...Comment

Oh, that old canard. Successive UK governments have run down the smaller boat fishing industry anyway - the owners of the handful of the very big trawlers (permitted by the UK government) are the ones making profits, and will continue to do so, post brexit. Small boats are marginal and will continue to be, post brexit.Originally posted by Mordac View PostYes, we have a lovely trade deal, but it costs £10billion a year, and we can't even control our own fishing rights. Interestingly, the EU has rules that should help the small boat fishermen, but the UK ignores those rules.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment
