May's deal almost dead

It looks like JRM's group are now slowly realising May's deal is the best they can get, but they've probably killed it.

If the Brexiteers had got behind the deal they could have probably swung it, as it looks now Brexit is heading for the rocks.

Basically looks like the Tory ERG group killed Brexit.

That's true but this will cause an irrevocable split in the Tory party. OK they may even succeed in sewing sufficient chaos to get a temporary no deal, but it will be a pyrrhic victory, as there is no majority to support a government in such circumstances- The ensuing chaos will inevitably bring whatever is left of the government. It will lead to a GE with a split Tory party or a second referendum.

If May hadn't thrown away Cameron's majority, she'd have probably had a chance of getting her WA across the winning line.

Who is going to enforce it? You may not be aware of it but member states flout vast swathes of EU legislation every day and nobody bats an eyelid. In fact the most stringent enforcer [internally] is the UK.

We are currently inside the SM + CU. If (big if) there is any flouting then it is an internal matter.

What you appear to be suggesting is that we should flout the laws of a third country (which the EU will be once we leave).
