It really doesn't matter how you see it. Try to understand the reality, instead of what you wish it was.

Do you understand what "acts in the interests of" means?

Yes and what you are trying to imply is that they should be able to stop this because we are stoopid and they are clever

not 'we'...... just the below average intelligences. Half the people are above average intelligence.

Time has moved on. After 2 1/2 years it is clearer what leaving the EU means. The nearest way to both respect the will of the electorate and act in the national interest is to hold a referendum with a more refined question. Don't you trust the voters?

Not at all. I'm implying that the code of conduct that you quoted means that they should act in (what they determine to be) the interests of the nation.

It does not mean that they should blindly do whatever the electorate tell them to do.

A reasonable baseline to start from is that the politicians that are trying to stop, or at least water down, Brexit are doing so because they do not believe it to be in the best interests of the nation. This is not contrary to their code of conduct, as you were implying that it was.

If I genuinely believed any politician had any interest in anything except lining their own pockets I would be happy to let them have more control.

But as they have demonstrated time and time again they simply cannot be trusted.
