    Brexit McBrexitface

Remember when they let the British public decide on the name of a boat? And the result was disregarded because they felt the public's decision was too silly to follow through on?
That was just the name of a boat.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

    Brexit is special. Specially bad.

The name of a boat doesn't affect anyone.

Believing in religion doesn't affect anyone.

By contrast - and that's why there is so much vitriol - Brexit has a significant continuing detrimental impact on 30 million innocent people.

If the Church of England were suddenly able to enforce a national 20 mph speed limit because Jesus said so, the sparks would really fly.

Hang on a minute, you're assuming that those that didn't vote for Brexit are "innocent", even those that couldn't be arsed to vote either way? Talk about a blind leap of faith!

      Votes for = 17,410,742
      Votes against = 16,141,241
      Spoilt votes = 25,359

Registered Electorate who didn't vote for whatever reason = ~12,922,659

Your "didn't vote for whatever reason" is out by around 20,000,000.

Stop it. Didn't vote = against, obviously.

Brexit McBrexitFace launches yet another failed rebellion

They won't give up will they. It'll peter out before the end of the week, like the rest of the rebellions

You're quite correct. I should've qualified that with "Registered Electorate who didn't vote for whatever reason."

                Amended appropriately.

An interesting point. And rather worrying. Will Brexit be the same sort of running sore on the UK?

Why Irish Voters Rejected the Lisbon Treaty | The Brussels Journal

Remember when Ireland voted to Reject the Lisbon Treaty?

And they were pressured to keep voting until the "correct" result emerged.
