Should Great Britain and England change their names after Brexit?

After all Britain is named after the French region of Brittany
England after the German/Danish tribes called the Angeln

I think the only patriotic thing to do is to change the names, anything else is treason

Will you tell the French that we want "Saint Emilion" back when we leave the EU?

When you give back the Channel Islands to France
            the Shetlands to Norway
            the Falklands to Argentina
            Gibraltar to Spain

I think the Netherlands should give Holland back to the Dutch,
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

'ang on a minute pal. Saint Emilion was a gift, not a spoil of war.

Tell the Spaniards to hand back "plazas de soberanía" and then we can have a little chat about Gibraltar - that said though the last time the residents of Gibraltar and the Falklands were asked, they wished to stay part of the UK - you do know what democracy is I assume?

Channel Islands? William the Conqueror brought them with him when he became King of England. I think you'll find they're a law unto themselves mate, they may be British Subjects but they aren't necessarily British Citizens.

Shetland? That'll be the Scots ye'll need to be having a wee word with.

You're not really equipped for this discussion - your lack of historical knowledge regarding your chosen country of residence is abysmal. Are you sure you're cut out to live here?

So you're saying it's fine to ask for something back that you gave as a present but not to ask for something that was violently taken from you?

You sound like the kind of person who takes a bottle around to a dinner party and asks for it back if it wasn't drunk during the meal.
