So lets look at this - Spanish police commit some brutal acts which verge on breaching human rights and the EU did nothing.
Is this because
a) The EU approves of human rights breaches
or
b) The Eu approves of the reason for the unreasonable use of force by the police because it approves of the reason for it.
No because Spain is a sovereign nation, it's not up to the EU to police it's own internal affairs. Imagine if it had, then people like you would be complaining that the EU is interfering in a sovereign nation's internal affairs

One might have expected some sort of condemnation.................after all, they were very quick off the mark when it was the Israelis getting heavy-handed................and that falls way outside their supposed remit.
