Parts Supply Disruption = there's a delay in the supply of the rubber widget* that stops the handbrake from failing.
The faulty cars sold in their millions for 14 years before the fix was put in, so a few weeks without out them will make the current model more like the original BMW Mini.



*Note: It's not actually a rubber widget, but it's bigger than a grommet
