NHS to get additional funding from Brexit dividend?

Possibly to be announced next week, a £4bn boost to the NHS to be paid for from a Brexit dividend according to papers and at least ITV this morning

It will be interesting to see the ring fencing of this out of any Brexit savings, and the year(s) that it will apply to, given the payment schedule of the “divorce” payment and the additional costs in setting up our own agencies and extending our customs borders.

The Telegraph also reported Government ministers are considering a freezing on thresholds for the personal allowance.

The threshold for the 40p rate from April 2020 is also being discussed.

It has been estimated such a measure could bring in close to £4billion by the end of the current Parliament.
