There's always extremists in almost every group imaginable.

Try not to stereotype 17 million people with the actions of a few, as I think there's a word for that.

The CUK remoan cretins have 2 extremists. Thankfully one has left. One to go.

There are a few remoaners who make very valid points. Anything complex is usually a balance.

While I take your point on stereotyping, I don’t think anyone from the Remain side has been threatening politicians with death threats and the like. There are also no mainstream national publications calling people that vote Leave saboteurs and traitors on their front page.

So although you are right that this doesn’t apply to the 17 million, it’s not exactly a false equivalency to say that this aggressive behaviour appears to be mainly a Leave trait.

If this is the “new normal” in political discourse then it’s pretty distasteful.

A trait shown by what 1000 people out of 17 million?

Who were showing these traits prior to the brexit vote anyway?

A bits like football hooligans - it is just an excuse for their behaviour - not the reason for it.

I’m fairly sure you’ve just made that number up; I’m also fairly sure that your whataboutism on pre-Brexit is false, given that the death threats then (and unfortunate murder of Jo Cox by someone who saw her defence of the EU as being that of a collaborator and traitor) were in the main by Leavers.

Not for the first time, I’m not sure I follow your argument. Are you saying you’re excusing their behaviour? That it’s okay for the Mail to incite hatred of our elected representatives?

Do deaths threats to Nigel Farage not count?

              If not, why not?

Or perhaps the death threats tories and tory campaigners receive? I'd presume these are Labour/Liberal (lol) voters and that suggests 'remain-voting' I think.

Still, even if we think 1000 people made these threats, that's 0.005% of the Leave voters - so fire away with your equivalencies.......

Yet, it seems okay for Leavers, in particular many who post on here, to stereotype all Remainers...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

And the same is not true the other way round?

Mrs May will have to pay more than £1.5bn to win the next vote.....

Yes, they do count. I accept the correction on that point and I can publicly post that I find those threats unacceptable and unreservedly condemn them.

But carry on attempting to justify your own position.
