"Open doors migration" for non-EU immigrants is exactly what she could have done something about during her six years as Home Secretary. Especially considering the Tory promise to reduce migration to the tens of thousands.

Either controlled migration is too hard (to the numbers being talked about in their manifesto), or the Tories actually want the level of migration that we currently have. Either way, they've had plenty of time to do something about non-EU migration, yet nothing's been done. With ICT's, etc, you could say that this is the Tory policy.

This isn't a dig at Brexit, it's simply looking at whether the Tories could have done something by now. They could have, yet they haven't.

Do you think the Tories thought that they could reduce non EU migration? if they did I have not seen any policies showing that they even attempted to do it. unless they were banking on concessions from the EU what on earth did they think they were doing?
