Parliamentary process needs to be observed and the referendum was never something the government was obligated to follow (legally speaking).
All the Leavers who keep smugly saying to the bitter Remainers "this is democracy, deal with it" - this is basically the same thing. This is how our system DOES democracy - deal with it.
I'm not particularly worried that it will prevent Brexit or A50 though. Corbyn and May BOTH think the electorate's view should be respected.

So parliament voted 6:1 for a referendum and now they are going to vote against the result. Where exactly in the tiny binary world in which people like you live in does this fit?
