Perhaps you'd prefer bloodshed then the UK would have someone else to sell weapons to other than the Saudis.
I can work in most places in the world subject to a few bits of paper. What you are selling is the ability to live anywhere. That generates a whole raft of issues.Comment

Here you go: "The European Union is set up with the aim of ending the frequent and bloody wars between neighbours, which culminated in the Second World War. "Correlation does not imply causation"
The US did Vietnam & Korea and lost both, they were terrified of Russia & China yet did not engage them is this thanks to the EU?
I would remind you that most believe WWI's sanctions caused WWII, post WWII Germany's shame & division put them out of the running for decades, now they are reunified maybe they will be in shape for WWIII?
Also the speed & breadth with which News travels has made war unpalatable for the populace. The war poems of WWI are now replaced by pictures of wounded children burnt by Napalm.
The other thing is trade may have helped stop wars but a superstate is likely to create them notice Russia's recent actions when we impinge on their territory.
If you think we were saved by the EU then PROVE IT not parrot it out.Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Comment

The reasons for peace are:
- Realisation that killing millions of people doesn't improve anything
- Vastly improved communication
- Vastly improved weaponry
Your role as mouthpiece for the EU is making you look increasingly out of touch with reality.Comment
