George Osborne defends Treasury's gloomy EU exit forecast - BBC News

A Treasury analysis says the UK economy would be 6% smaller if it left the EU than it would otherwise be by 2030.
Lets look at the latest forecast:

Economy to grow 1.4% in 2017, compared with 2.2% forecast in March.
That's 0.6% lower growth for 2017, and the UK hasn't even formally announced it's departure, as Cameron said he would in June. If he had we'd now be in an economic crisis.

So looks like the "Leave Campaign" already have huge amounts of egg all over their face, and support for Brexit is dwindling by the day.

This is why Mrs May is going to extend EU membership by a few years, otherwise it'll get worse...., far worse.

    I'm alright Jack

You can't engage with the criticism that macroeconomic forecasting is bollocks by citing more forecasts. You need to cite some verifying observations to support your argument. Hint: see here.

I was watching BBC news last night.

You can tell exactly what their point of view was by the reporting of the Jo Cox murder.

And also by the shots they took of some of the crowd - they focussed on the most toothless idiot who was shouting for brexit - and they may as well have had subtitles underneath saying 'Everyone who voted for brexit is stoopid'

I wonder if they will ever realise that many people are not stoopid and can see straight through their bias?

Are you a member of the Flat Earth Society?

Where is the evidence that support for Leave is dwindling? The last poll I saw said 70% wanted to get on with it.

You can keep stating nonsense as long as you like but no one really cares. You're in your own darkened room along with the rest of the mushrooms.

            UK Polling Report

Where the public are not convinced is on how the government are handling the biggest issue – only 37% think the government are doing a good job at handling Brexit, 48% think they are doing a bad job
You're obviously in the minority of the population who think things are going well

Based on a poll taken by people who wanted to prove Brexit was a bad idea?

I think one thing 2016 has taught us is that polls simply do not give you the correct answer.

              Mainly because

              a) A poll is only ever a subset of everyone
              b) If you know which locations to take your poll in you know what the outcome is going to be.
              c) if you know what demographic to target you know what the outcome is going to be.

              And some other reasons too!

Bracing for Brexit, UK ramps up borrowing and cuts growth forecasts | Reuters

The debt office then announced the biggest mid-year increase in government debt issuance since the financial crisis, pushing up yields on gilts sharply.
So if there isn't a hole why was there a huge increase in government debt issuance ?

Do you post links and hope no one reads them?

The report says 54% of people think TM is doing a good job vs 30% who don't.

There is nothing about views on Brexit changing.

You haven't shown anything to support your argument at all. You ARE the Flat Earth Society.

Again, you post links to forecasts from forecasters who have already admitted they got it wrong.

No one is even pretending there will be a recession now.

                      You're clueless as usual.
