I am a contractor on a one year rolling contract. Should I be entitled to travel expenses?

    #2
    Welcome!

You'll find a lot of answers to your questions within the CUK website.

On the right you'll find CUK Navigation. >>>>>>>>>

Look down and you'll come to the First Timers section. Have a read through there.

Basic expenses questions answered here: Contractor Expenses - How to claim Travel and other expenses via Limited Company or Umbrella

Then pay particular attention to IR35.

If you go into the Accounting/Legal forum you'll discover the thread Basic advice when running your own contractor business.

Guide to Contracts also has some good articles.

    Happy reading!

Are you an employee of an y description on the client? If so it is likely a permanent workplace so no.

equally if its a 1 year rolling and it haw been renewed then you would probably be beyond the 24 month window so no.

there are circumstances where it would be claimable but the scant info provided makes it a question that cannot be answered.

If travelling to a workplace defined as being temporary by HMRC, then yes. If not, then no.
