Contracting in multiple countries + administration

    Hi,

I'm an IT contractor who is planning to do some contracting in multiple countries for the next 2-3 years.

    Possible countries are:

    UK, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium

Let's imagine that i start in the UK, and form a limited company there for the duration of a 6 month work. After finishing in UK, and moving to Germany, do you think it is necessary to terminate this UK limited, and start a gmbh in Germany, and so on...? It seems like a lot of administration to me.

Can I form just one company, and use that in multiple countries? Is this beneficial?
If yes, which country do you recommend to form the company in? (from taxation point of view)

I currently have a Hungarian one, but it sucks heavily because I tax around 40% of my gross revenue.

    Thanks

Why don't you go speak to someone that is qualified to answer these stupid questions. This is a free forum for the UK with a membership mainly of contractors.

Find yourself a decent accountant that knows about inter-country companies and taxation and ask them FFS. If you can't be arsed to do this at least go use google to some of your own bloody research first.

Can I remind you to maintain the standards of professional courtesy that are expected in the professional forums?

Well, I did my research, but with no success.
I don't think my question is stupid, because my accountant couldn't answer it. I guess it's not because that it doesn't make sense, but rather because it's complex.

And you think that a bunch of anonymous posters will be able to give you better advice??

            A word to the wise.

I am prepared to go some way to allow naive posters ask dumb questions, but if they become increasing idiotic and ridiculous I will Permaban posters for the Trolls they are.

Just I case you wonder why...

Perhaps the OP will get better advice if you move this to General?

Who knows. One thing i'm sure about is that folks flooding my topic doesn't help.

I don't really post in General that much. It's too scary!
