      It is funny how the advice between professionals can vary. It seems pretty black and white from that link and the sub links but I know some contractors here have been told to put a percentage of floor space by their accountants despite me showing them this stuff. We also had a contractor here had a 2 storey extension built on their house which included and office so was told to let the business fund the whole extension, I kid you not. I tried argue the point about the business owning the extension and her owning the house yadda yadda but some people just don't want to hear or think for themselves.

      Still got the issue of a private let property being used as business premises but I guess how do they find out....

          Things are never black and white.....

          I always make sure that the lease accepts that I do business from the premises. So generally this is not an issue.

            But you don't use the whole house/flat as an office... and not 40 hours a week... do you? How much time do you realistically use the office?

                  24 Month Rule

                  I went over my 24 month period last August. My London contract lasted until March and in April I found a contract in Yorkshire. Without whining about it.

                  That's my experience of the 24 month rule.

                    You adding 1 and 1 and coming up with 3....

                    I work 16 hour days.... 8 on client site.... 8 on my company projects....

                      Not whining about it - merely stated it seemed unfair.... Also interested in others peoples views on the subject.
