Agreed. I can cut grass and clean the house but I pay someone to do it for me. Life balance for me..ok a slighly expensive one but hey, makes me happy.

I moved to crunch accounting from SJD when they jacked up their fees to 125/month
Now I pay 71 pounds only. A contractor's accounts are fairly simple , so go with the cheapest one.

Tax law isn't, though. Go with the best one: fees are an irrelevance.

What tax laws are you refering to ?
For my ltd company it's only about corp tax, vat, company house return , my personal tax etc. and it has not changed for the last 10 years I've been operating. Any decent accountant is good enough to do all these.
For IR35 checks, I get the contracts checked from qdos.

            We don't charge £125 a month - its £105.
P.S. What Spreadsheet? Revolutionising the contracting market again.

All of them, including changes to pensions rules, IR35, S660, compliance visits, allowable expenses... And QDOS, like B&C, check for IR35 compliance, they don't necessarily check the commercials AFAIK, which is why my accountant looks at mine (also given I can speak IR35 for myself)

Agreed any decent accountant can handle these and keep you covered from tripping over them. And "decent" and "fees" aren't the same thing. You've just saved £288 a year, which is nice, but set against the several tens of thousands the average conract is worth, it's hardly worth worrying about.
