As a company director you are responsible, in my mind as a responsible company director would I want involvment with a firm who 1. Already had a run in with the FSA in 2009 - 2010 and 2. Has current serious allegation made against them, the answer is no.Comment

Ultimatly its your company and responsibility. The accountant is just providing a service/advice/accounts. Thus I don't see what the big issue is. If you are not happy with them or comfortable with the situation, then find a new accountant. Personally I am comfortable with the situation at the moment. Thats not to say the situation may change. I have no axe to grind; if things go the wrong then I will move. Its not a matter of right or wrong; just making a good decision based on the information available at the time.Comment

Honestly? You'd have to be a little bit mental to think its ok to continue with a firm that now has so much stacked against it. Biggest thing you want from your accountant is trust. If you have time to go an re-check everything your accountant does then why bother having an accountant.Comment

I think I have said enough.
I think its important we share information, especially facts.
Thus I know one member of staff is leaving Monday, but then another is starting on Monday. Another member is leaving around the 20th. Lets keep names off this as I think people are permitted some privacy. The names don't matter.
Tina seems to being proactive and keeping the business going.
I have a couple of things that I need them to do; will let you know how this goes.
Communication with them has been good so far.Comment

Also spoke to Tina yesterday, don't wish what's she's going through on anyone but pleased she's working through things to get the business itself back on track....she also told me that a couple of the staff have been reported to the ACCA for their conduct including the one techie251 has recently joined.
What a very odd thing for a client to say

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment
