I'm just surprised with £30+ variation in price for the service.

It's kind of obvious that i'm not the only one who'll consider now a move from SJD , so i think that before increasing the price they should have compared their rates against the other participants on the market and there should be some justification for such a difference.

      I agree it's a bit of a poser that, I don't understand it either.

I think it's called milking your existing client base? greed? maybe they are all ex recruitment consultants? who knows!

Ask them to justify it/respond on the forum perhaps?

I guess SJD are playing catch up with the likes of Brookson, ClearSky, Churchill Knight, etc all of whom charge considerably more than £105 per month.

From what I have seen I can see no justification for the difference, I pay £75 so I am very happy

I'm with NW and have been an advocate of them since my day 1.. however........ I get the feeling they are exploding with business. I've had a new account manager and am not getting the same level of service as I was previously.

Yes, I have mentioned this to my account team and no, i'm not unhappy with them, BUT, it's not as shiny, happy, easy a choice as it was for me to recommend them a few months back.

that said, i'm still with them and based on previous experience would still stay with them, even given what I know now when compared to "other" options out there.

keep at it NW, but don't put quality < growth !
            Thank you for the feedback.

Please feel free to either PM me or drop me an email alanatnixonwilliams.com and I will address any concerns that you have.

We have been expanding and this does place a pressure on our customer service levels but a change of your account manager is sometimes unavoidable, our staff enjoy excellent career progression and so some staff do move on within the company.

We hope that we never place service quality in front of growth which is why we have invested heavily in our staff, who at the end of the day are responsible for delivering excellent service.

I hope this helps, but I would be pleased to hear from you regarding any specific areas you wish me to address.

            Alan

It's all good Alan. It has been dealt with and my new chap is now up to speed I think! more of a supportive observation right now.

              Thanks for your response.

OK, something new to add to the mix.

I have just joined with NW and while I await my account manager to actually call me, I get the feeling from everyone here they will be OK. Adele their sales Rep was excellent!!

However I have just had a call from Aston Mae who guarantee they can pay me 80% of my earnings while I would be an Employee so no company, no bank account, no accountant and no hassle.

Also less risk on IR35, but they also include a warranty to protect me just in case, and their fees are taken from the 20% so I ALWAYS get 80% of my earnings.

My dad taught me "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!" - I did ask where the catch was but he said there was not one.

Is there anyone smarter than me on here who can verify this - they said it was some legislation that the government uses that allows them to do it?

                thoughts?

                Simeon.

They are based in Switzerland. They do not have to account for UK taxes as they're not based here.
You on the other hand, I presume, are based here and therefore are subject to UK income tax.
