    Which Accountant

Hi, New here so hope this is ok to post.

I am about to start as an IT PM contractor and need some advice on an accountancy firm.

I have spoken to Danbro and Brookson, as well as others, but these two specifically stand out as being good.

does anyone have any experience with them or anyone else they would like to recommend?

    Thanks

intouch advertise here does that make them good? Does Contractor UK check out the suppliers it allows to advertise on their site?

How do they compare with Danbro or Brookson?

The InTouch posters seem to post useful advice on plenty of threads.

I'm quite happy with Nixon Williams who also post on here occasionally.

They were another one I was looking at - I'll wait for some more feedback from others - been looking on the site, and seems to be some great support him!

I use Nixon Williams as well, very pleased.

From speaking to fellow contractors I would avoid the old MSC companies such as Brookson, Danbro, Paystream etc, I have heard of this keeping Flat rate VAT money before, although only with Paystream, never come across anyone who uses Danbro so can't comment specifically.

I have had some advice to use an LLP rather than a limited company - any advice?

Newbie here using Nixon Williams, brilliant service! no question too stupid, any HRMC forms get emailed off and dealt with by them.

For me (newbie to contracting) it is a weight off my mind knowing Hector has been dealt with by people who know what they are doing!

Feel free to correct me but this is a partnership, so if it is just you, who are you in partnership with, sounds a bit strange to me?

Hence the reason for my question - it was an accountant friend who suggested it, but not sure how aware of contracting he is.
