I used to be with Freelance and because i got fed up with poor service and poor customer services, decided that i would take over the running of my company myself. They still charged me (my company) £293 to 'transfer' the company.

No amount of explaining that i wasn't transferring, i just wanted them to stop 'acting' for my company worked. At the end of the day, they said if i didn't pay it they would release all the information to me.

well lets see. So far i have been waiting for my personal manager or their manager to call be back urgently..still waiting.
several errors made by brookson plus stupid errors by Tenon (subcontractor of Brookson)......so really tempted to move business now.

Andrew - what is your position in Brookson? Reason, when i get my problem sorted i wish to make an official complaint about brookson service, but dont want to do this via personal managers, but more official.

Were Brooksons not an MSC? Usually the old MSC operations have had issues with converting themselves to accountants.

I was with an MSC prior to 2007 and moved to an accountants who didn't get involved with MSC's and I can see the difference.

            Hi Waldorf,

Brookson successfully transformed in 2007 during the legislation change, we invested heavily on technology and processes to ensure Ltd companies can use our services.

Take a look at www.brookson.co.uk/revolution for further information on our services, they are quite unique and we are looking to revolutionise the accountancy sector for Ltd companies and Sole Traders.

Andrew, i have a question for you being a manager at Brooksons.

Unfortunately i think i will be moving accountants, as i have had too many problems with my accounts and disappointed with the service over past few months.

If I do move my company accounts year end is March. I would be grateful if you could answer my questions in good faith

              Q. If I move accountants now, do you offer any partial refund on my accountancy fees paid now, meaning I get my year end accounts done by another firm? if so what sort of level of fee refund?

              Q. If I stay until March, will this mean Brookson will still complete my year end accounts for year until March 2010, as I would have paid for the 12months prior? (Note. i have just received my final year end accounts this week for last year). When approximately will these accounts be aimed to be complete by?

(before you ask i dont think Brookson can do much to retain my business now, like i said too many problems now and i am now just fed up)

              thanks

Thanks for your reply. I may be in touch soon, but out of interest is there a nominated complaints manager at Brookson manager? (something i never got a definite reply when i asked this over a year ago via the personal manager system).
