Yes, but it was broke. It was a rubbish system compared to say Barclays or Nationwide. Now it looks a little bit better, but doesn't work. Can't have it all, I suppose.

Well it worked fine for me. What's so special about barcrap and nationwide then?

It WAS a terrible site... it worked but looked like the site was made by someone with a "learn HTML in 24 hours book". The new look is much nicer and so far it's fine for me except the old version worked with Chrome and the new one doesn't. My payments and so on all look fine.

I don't believe that peoples' SO and DD are really lost, just they are not showing up. Coders should be able to figure out the layer managing all that stuff is not the same as the layer used for your internet banking portal.

Who gives a crap about how pretty is was? It was functional, usable, simple, and quick to use. This was probably the victory of some web design consultant who wanted to tart it up.

OK, that's perhaps a bit disengenious, but having worked along side the internet bank team at nationwide (which I agree is one of the better ones), it was always the old guard who were talking uasability and reliability over widgets and web 2.0

They simply could NOT have tested it properly. Roll back you morons!
            Regards, J.

The fact the site looked terrible made me always worry the backend might be designed with the same amount of care - "it seems to work, that's good enough".

Try HSBC. Had no problems in the 9 months I have been with them.

One missing DD has now appeared but still no Standing Orders. Has the hallmarks of a team sitting there typing details from one system into another and they didn't get it finished in one weekend. And don't say it couldn't happen. About 10 years ago I remember doing a transfer from an Egg account of (something like) £808.xx. When the funds arrived the other end, Egg had sent £880.xx. When I complained I was told it was an error made by the staff who retype all the Internet transactions into the real system.

Moving money works ok. My payment receipents are all there. Still just the missing DD.

One thing I don't like is when you click DD it says "There are no active Direct Debits linked to the selected account." but with no dropdown to choose the account as with the old system.

                      QB.
