    What's happening SJD?? (Scottish branch)

Ok internal feud had spilt over into the public domain - I don't care.

All I want to know, are my affairs in order?

You may respond with 'say ask my accountant', and that would be?

Apparently Ken McTaggart who ran SJD in Scotland has split from Simon Dolan who runs the SJD network. There have been lots of complaints about SJD in Scotland and the upshot is some sort of split. SJD UK are hoping to transfer all Scottish clients to a service team down south while Ken is trying to transfer them to his new company.

          Could get ugly.

The service issues were raised on this forum a few months back and Simon went mental suggesting they were isolated incidents. It seems they weren't!

Just looked at SJD's website and there is no mention of the split but all reference to the scottish offices have been pulled.

Great no Scottish office no accountant.

Credit crunch, accountants running off - whit next?!

Well there's no exactly a shortage of accountants in Edinburgh I suppose! There's a few x RBS chaps queuing outside the door...

Looks like its getting pretty ugly already. Received an email from Ken today and then a counter email from Simon a couple of hours later. Ken only referred to 'issues' whereas Simon seemed to be slightly more forthcoming. This one will end up in the courts.

What were the complaints made on here? Were they directly levelled at Ken and the service supplied by SJD Scotland?

Had a search through the forums but couldn't find anything.

Changing accountant is pretty easy, for some reason I kept putting it off even though I was unhappy with the service I was getting from my old accountant for a long time.

New firm have been excellent so far and more proactive than my old mob.

New firm did all the paperwork, if anyone is looking for a recommendation for an accountant in central Scotland PM and I will pass on the details.
