This is all getting very messy, but is unbelievably unprofessional to be honest.

The latest email I've received is in contradiction to some of what SJD have said above on this thread. Namely:

The company name was changed and SJD Scotland is/was a private stand alone company. And the SJD was only service provision and website, as well as use of the trading name that was paid for by the company formed as SJD Scotland. My latest correspondance states that there is no Franchise Agreement. SJD Accountancy does appear not to be a limited company, and any correspondance I have (letters etc) all say it is a part of SJD (Scotland) Ltd.

The website below was also highlighted, and the SJD addresses etc are now listed against this Easy Accountancy. Very strange considering it makes all the claims that SJD used to make. Simon it has also been claimed that you're not a qualified accountant.

    http://www.easyaccountancy.co.uk/

That is all very confusing. For what its worth, it seems to me that neither side is telling the whole truth, or considering its clients appropriately and as a result they will loose out heavily from lost customers.

I do not like all the under hand tactics going on, emails going out and setting up of other, very similar websites, companies etc .....

Trust would appear to have been lost.

That one does belong to SJD - no deep dark secrets there!

I was wondering the same thing - Stelios is notorious for going after companies that label themselves "Easy...."

I was going to post Ken's email, but don't want to get myself or the website dragged into any legal stuff.

Quite frankly, I am stunned by all this back and forth, and am seriously considering leaving whichever of the 2 entities I am with.

Many of you will know the connection between CU and SJD but you probably don’t know that Simon is my brother. I know that he has been deeply hurt by the situation in the Scottish office but I also know that he really is doing everything possible to make sure that his customers are not affected by the problems. I have never known anyone who is so passionately dedicated to his company as Simon, which probably accounts for the huge success of SJD. Some of you have said that the posts have been unprofessional but I wonder how many CEO’s would be as honest and upfront as Simon has been on this forum? Now you may think that I am saying all this because he is my brother (and you’d be right ) but I am also saying it because I have the utmost respect for a businessman who is prepared to hold himself and his company up for public scrutiny and to answer criticism, query and approbation with equal patience, honesty and dignity.

Unusually, i feel compelled to stick up for Simon here as well. A few months ago I put up a post commenting on the standards at SJD Scotland and I got a bit of flak from Simon for it. I decided to take the comment down even although I felt it justified.

Yesterday, I got a PM from Simon acknolwedging that my points were valid and that he'd do what he could to help.

Hat's off to him for fronting up like he has.
