I'm confused now. I'm a recent client of SJD after being recommended by a colleague and at the footer of the 'Our Responsibilities to You' letter it reads 'S J D Accountancy is a part of S J D (Scotland) Ltd. registered in Scotland No. SC218905' (and then there is a long list of associated offices) so if the original authorisation I signed is with SJD Accountancy (a part of SJD (Scotland) ) and SJD (Scotland) has only changed Company Name then I think I don't need to resend authorisation forms?

I don't take one side or the other over this as I am a new customer (3 months or so) and don't know any of the in's and out's of this or have any beefs with one side or the other, I just want to be legal.

I know the easy answer is 'just send them again' but if there is no need to won't it cause confusion later on?

      what is the simplest

I'm just a simple contractor, I don't uderstand this accountancy stuff.

I have done nothing with standing orders yet so I believe I am still paying SJD Scotland. Ken recently sent some 64-8 forms out for me to sign so I just signed them and sent them back.

I don't care about the row between SJD and KJM, I'm probably going to change to a different accountancy altogether, but it's coming up to my year end so I just want continuity for a few weeks.

If I do nothing, who am I with?

Same here, I've been with SJD for a while (my accountant is Darryl in the Brum office), and I've got to say they pretty much live up to their promises.

I picked SJD due to their national coverage and have on occasion met up with Darryl, the awards and other stuff just make it an easy decision.

After all who else is there other than a local high street accountant (been there done that and wouldn't do it again)? Only other national boys are KPMG, PwC etc and last time I checked they didn't offer a contractor type service.
