I agree with you. Trouble is that this Government doesn't understand shame. They don't understand the shame that their actions have heaped upon the nation in the eyes of the rest of the world.

Gordon Brown has lost the confidence of his own ministers, people appointed by him. The backbenchers are revolting (sorry, just love that pun!). If he cannot control his own Cabinet and party what right does he have to think that he is the right person to run the country?

He has overseen the collapse of the uk economy, collapse of his own cabinet and disgrace brought to Parliament. This happened on his watch. This does not get resolved through a "cabinet reshuffle". Its time for the electorate to have their say.

Right now I feel ashamed to be British because of what has happened and yet Brown is unashamed of anything. They stick their own noses in the trough while ripping the hearts out of honest hard working families. Scum is too good a word.

If they see this isnt just a few people in their area but get a chance to see what this law is actually doing from personal statements? Just an idea anyhow?
I have been thinking about that. However, people only gave their permission for this info to go to the JCHR, so I would have to check that they didn't mind.

If we did give it to some MPs I would want to wait a couple of weeks or so. I don't want it falling into the hands of the Treasury at the moment so they can concoct some BS to counter it.

      Definitely worth considering though.

Well said Emigre!! I'm sick of the sight (and sound) of Brown, a general election can't come soon enough. It will get rid of him and his party, then hopefully we can have this disgraceful legislation over turned as well!

              JCHR are on the case

This might brighten up your weekend.

Based on the testimonies, the Joint Committee on Human Rights are opening an inquiry into s58.

I will update you as soon as I know what format this will take and timescales etc.

But the main thing is that it has been accepted for review.
