No, you are deliberately missing the point. The point is, I want to know what information they hold and, some of that information that I currently do not know about (because it hasnt been disclosed to me yet) may come in useful in this fight.

The fact that the DPA Unit is kept busy is immaterial to me. The point I made in relation to the DPA staff is that they dont see such requests as messing up their time or someone else making them busy!

FFS is really hard to comprehend or what!?
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

Regretably it is war. HMRC have started the bullying aggressive attitude stuff. Now we are raising the ante.

We may lose the odd battle on the way : but we are going to win.

Just wanted to make a small point:

Firstly applying for all your information under DPA is your "god given" legal right to do so, be it that we all do it or that some of us do.

Also, did anybody else notice US Presidents speech on tax avoidance, he's talking about closing loopholes but not retrospection !

any information they hold could be crucial if the JR and Montp lose everything. It could come down to a technicality in a procedural failure on the part of HMRC if us as individuals have to go to court to fight against any liability. The only way we will find out if there was any sort of procedural failure is by using a DPA SAR, itsn ot all about wasting their time.

            Resign Petition

Slightly off subject, but just in case anyone missed it, the "Resign" petition on the number 10 web site was mentioned on BBC news this morning. Looks like the media are starting to pick up on it! Maybe 50,000 was the magic number.

Anyone found out any more about this?

Changes to the finance bill. Not our clause but, it does mention that they are reviewing the finance bill at the moment.

Maybe the reason why none of our MPs have had any response back from the treasury.
