Yep, our emails will soon be going through the new Orwellian Government Spy Centre.

The sooner this control-freak govt. are kicked out, the better

Dont be so sure. Anyway - will it make any difference to bn66? I think Tories will do nothing about it. I hope I am wrong.....

It won't make any difference to BN66 but it's certainly time for a change. Three terms is long enough for any party to be in power.

Labour will find it hard to turn this around particularly as, by the time of the election, we will have just been through a nasty recession. Brown's rescue of the banking system will be long forgotten by then.

          Things can only get better.

Tory policy - Reply from David Cameron

My local MP happens to be David Cameron, and I duly wrote to him about 3 weeks ago (as suggested in http://forums.contractoruk.com/accou...e-your-mp.html). Basically with the same content as other examples on there.

In his reply received today, he "appreciates my concerns..blah blah... opposed the legislation....etc etc... can't get involved in the legal process.."

However, he did end up by saying "Please do keep me informed of any developments , so we can look at policy options before the next election if that becomes necessary."

Doesn't really mean much I suppose, but its may be a small stick to beat them with later...

I am sure some of you will hate this suggestion but I am hoping it is a real option...

Has anybody here contacted HMRC about doing a deal? i.e. pay now at a reduced rate.

I know that neither Tim Warr nor montpelier have discussed this with HMRC.

I just asked montp. they said :-

Why would she want to settle when the fight is only just beginning?

If she is so intent on getting it over with, why doesn't he put her money where he mouth is... ring Brannigan and ask for a deal.

Im hoping your post here was done on the spur of a moment after 3 or 4 too many bottles of lunchtime vino !!!!

Why on earth would you want to do that? if you're so concerned about this, then to me the simplest solution is to go the CTD route. it gives you peace of mind knowing that while montp are giving HMRC a bloody nose you dont have any worries about things like rising interest etc. Remember the absolute worst case (which I dont believe will happen) will be that HMRC actually win. and in that case all you will be required to due is cough up.

I for one am very (repeat VERY) confident that we will win this fight. all it means is hanging on while slow wheels of justice turn. and like I said, if you are so concerned and worried (which bully boy Hector wants you to be), then get a ctd.

I've been fighting Hector over other issues (Film Partnerships) for the last 5 years. And it's still not resolved !!!

This WILL BE A LONG HAUL ! The wheels are in motion. The appeal process / Court route will last a long time.

This is not an easy ride and Hector will throw all sort of mud in our direction.

Do what I do, keep your life going in the direction you want and sleep soundly at night

                      Keep the faith
