    Nixon Williams Junk Mail

Is everyone else getting the Nixon Williams Junk Mail every month?

I return it to sender, but they still keep sending it! How dumb of them to alienate the industry they want to cultivate.

They've got a Blackmark in my book now, I won't be using them ever.

    Cheers, Richy

Have you tried telling them you want to be removed from their mailing list?

I was going to see if there was a link I could provide you with (I like to be helpful), but their web site plays music at me against my will, so I closed it down immediately.

If anybody from N-W reads this: YOU FAIL. Ditch the compulsory noise. It's a web site, not a television. It could also embarrass prospective or existing clients who visit your web site whilst at a client's site. If you want to be MTV, ditch the accountancy scene.

God yes. What idiot thought that prospective customers would like that? Without even asking? Gives you a clue as to who they think is in charge here (not the customer). Bargepole.

How did they get your email address? I assume you must have registered with their site. In which case just de-resgister. I get mails from Nixon Williams but just news and stuff. It's not junk as far as I am concerend as I read some of it. Maybe these are different mails from yours. Either way I am sure a quick mail to infoatnixonwilliams.com saying please delete me from your mailing list will suffice. I get the same from SJD as well (I registered with both sites whilst investigating accountants). Again I just take a look to see if there is anything of interest and then delete. They're better that the myriad of viagra emails I get every day!

              WHS

Nixon Williams are a top accountant and I can't fault them.

IMHO the OP should lose the attitude....
Eeyore was very glad to be able to stop thinking for a little, in order to say "How do you do" in a gloomy manner to Pooh.
"And how are you?" said Winnie-the-Pooh.
Eeyore shook his head from side to side. "Not very how," he said. "I don't seem to felt at all how for a long time."

A little junk mail and muzak is the least of your worries. I now use a service on the PCG Accredited Accountants list and the contrast could not be greater. The new accountant even gave me plenty of support and advice in sorting out the numerous problems from the old regime.
So the moral, aimed especially at casual/first-time readers is: ignore accountancy services that hawk their wares on forums such as this...if you're in the PCG, use the Accredited Accountants list.

I am not totally clear if this is aimed at us as you hide behind a name. If it is I would be delighted to look into this for you even if you have chosen another accountant.

Email me at alanatnixonwilliams.com and I will respond, even it is just to know where we went wrong, if the comment in genuine of course!

I would not say we "hawk our wares" on this site, I am here to answer questions and provide an opinion if people chose to use our services as a result, then that is nice.

                    I hope you do well.

                    Alan
