I didn't. My accountant opened the account for me with £100 - I think they have an understanding with CA. Good bank to deal with IMHO, always swift and knowledgeable.

Cater Allen are by far the best. The 5k deposit requirement is waived for PCG members and for clients of some accountancy firms IIRC.

A lot of people recommend Abbey, which like CA is owned by Santander (yet to see any negative change in service for CA).

Abbey pay more interest, however it's a short term promotion.

I am content with Abbey. used them for both of my businesses.

it didnt come up in a forum search, and things vhange i guess, so its a valid post.

I decided that i need a card to be able to buy company things online, CA dont do this until after 6 months i hear. I will go with natwest i think and get the 24 months free banking then see, at least I get a credit type card i can use online.

Just been looking at abbey, looking very good indeed. I'm thinking I will give them a try, anyone happy with their services ?

I get free banking and the cards I need. And it sounds like a simple solution.
