    Health Insurance Question

Is it worth taking up if you're over 45? Will insurers take you on if you're fit & healthy but over 45?

Eeyore was very glad to be able to stop thinking for a little, in order to say "How do you do" in a gloomy manner to Pooh.
"And how are you?" said Winnie-the-Pooh.
Eeyore shook his head from side to side. "Not very how," he said. "I don't seem to felt at all how for a long time."

As long as you're breathing, are moderately likely to survive another 10 years and have no extant chronic conditions, there shouldn't be a problem.

You do realise there's a PCG 25% discount scheme, BTW...

Yes. You are their main customers. i.e. Still of working age so can afford to pay, but old enough to think they might actually need it.

Premiums are weighted primarily on age, but also on BMI, smoker/non smoker, and your location

Past medical history and hereditary stuff will generally just add things to your exclusions, rather than bump up your premiums.
It's about time I changed this sig...
