MTM vs. Jones & Morris
Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostWTF is he on about?
Jones and another guy Giles Morris worked for/with MTM in the beginning but then fell out and "allegedly" stole the concept and client list to set up a rival scheme. MTM instigated legal proceedings against them. It's taken several years to get to court but it sounds like it was meant to happen in July but has been delayed because of Jones' alleged mental illness.
I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions about the credibility of Tim Warr's offer to help us.Comment

Originally posted by max View Postso out of interest how much "tax" would you pay on say £150,000 revenue?
my contract income. or my property business if I were to liquidate an asset?
If income from work then I would leave it in my property business account (which I invoice all my work through) and continue to pay myself £2000 net per month plus my TAX and NI which costs my company roughly £2800 per month. Yes can you believe it, I pay PAYE!!!! I have found the lordI would then look to invest the remainder minus a provision for CT on profits from any gain....so on that basis very rough calc....
2000 X 12 = 24000
800 X 12 = 9600
150,000 - 33600 = 116400 to reinvest minus Corp tax....
I might at some point decide to pay myself a div but to be honest Im all about capital growth, quite happy with my meagre wage for the time being....
If liquidating an asset then reinvest the bulk of it minus a provision for CT at year end on any gains in a high interest a/c. Alternately if I thought I would be able to recoup the CT payment elsewhere before it becomes due then I'd also reinvest that on the basis I could pay it another time...
