    hear hear.

I would go - but it would mean taking the kids illegally. My ex then has 1 year to find me.

I hope the kids will emigrate as soon as they are old enough...

Hmmm... My last full year's trading, my overall tax bill (Mine and MyCo's) was £45k... Mrs Malvolio, who has a real job at a semi-sensible salary paid around £12k PAYE and NICs

Let's just keep a sense of perspective, shall we.

Jeez, you really are determined not to listen, are you? Read my lips - paying £4k tax on the gross income of any halfway competent IT contractor, even one on £12 an hour, is not going to win the sympathy vote. That's all I'm saying.

He had a valid point. £4K is a very small tax bill for someone probably earning £100K. The fact you paid stamp duty is irrelevant. The point is you paid very little on the ~£100K you earnt.

I would have been happy to pay a "fair" rate of tax. It is the IR35 and the treatment of us as glorified typists that gets me. And the HMRC bully boy tactics.

Does taking a risk (having to get renewed every x months) count for nothing?

Might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb.

                  I might be repeating

the MTM vs Jones & morris case was re-scheduled for september.......cos........can you guess why........NO well let me tell you.....

trial date was for this july (as you know) but jones got it vacated claiming with a medical report that he is "nuts " suffering from bi polar sydrome and unable to stand trial.

                  Whats that all about?

Sorry if you know this however cant bothered to read all thread

Unfortunate turn of phrase! Who was it who said "read my lips - no new taxes" before being proved a total liar? I am sure it was an American President?
