Mine turned up a few days after my VAT reg did - keep your fingers crossed!

Here's hoping as they were both submitted at the sametime and then again with the first request for more information as they had no record of my first request .

Call and check they have you application. My FRS application was ignored when I sent it in with the VAT application. I didn't discover this for ages! Call the Flat Rate Scheme office 01472 247 376/378/382 and they will confirm if they have your application. If they don't have it call 0845 010 9000 and you can apply on the phone.

Maybe you got the same bloke as me. I called to see how they were getting on and a very nice man said he'd do it for me on the phone there and then.



Seems it is luck who you get and whether they will do it or not as I have called at least 5 times and was told they couldn't do it there and then.

Yeah.... I also called this lunch time and asked if I could go on the FRS, and he said he'd do it for me and I would hear from them within 30 dayts. I kindly asked for the application date to start 1st April, to which the said it wouldn't be a problem.

Sounds like we all got the sam bloke. Mines back dated to 1st June.

Hi registered last week online and have received VAT number in post today.

ya lucky feckers....since registering in March this year, I have now been sent two requests for further info & am still without the VAT number. At this rate the agencies that I need to re-invoice for missing VAT, will probably have diappeared and I'll be in a worse mess. At the least the footy season is with us and is a temporary distraction.

Same here. Applied in April. They keep asking for more info at regular intervals. Someone told me its an exellent tactic to slow down the process so that they can deal with the large number of applications they've got. Else they could ask for all the details in one go.
