Don't call for 15 weeks.... what sort of checks take that long... !! Unless they want to see if contracts get renewed/extended ? I only sent them a copy of my 6 month contact

Just had a call from the VAT and they should be sending my number out by the end of the week..
I mentioned that I had been quoted 12/15 weeks for further checks and they just said some take that long, but others are a lot quicker.. Don't loose faith, just a stand letter...

Received my VAT certificate this week after applying on June 1st and having sent in a copy of my contract a couple of weeks ago.

they even questioned why the Invioce for my Incorporation wasn't in the company name who are these people.

Start of August get a letter stating my application has been sent off for re-assurance checks by another of, a further 12 - 15 weeks

I have written to my MP and she replied very quickly asking for more detail so that she can raise at the House of Commons. I applied in April and still waiting.

Have you confirmed they have received your application? My first got "lost" despite being sent recorded delivery.

Ofcourse, they have received it on 11th April. They wrote back in June with a questionnaire and requesting several documents, which were sent to them immediately. They then wrote back and said do not expect the VAT Number before 6 months after the application (i.e. not before October 2007) and do not call, write, etc before October.

Still have not got mine having applied in March. Calling them daily at the moment and this morning a form for more information landed on the doorstep asking about whether or not I plan to buy/sell wholesale goods and if I have any advertising/branding material to support this....W$nk%^s
