      An agent posting a fake job ad to farm CVs? Blow me down with a feather and I'll go to the bottom of the stairs. Whodathunk it. Wonders will neve cease.

        99% of recruitment agencies post fakes at some point to harvest CV's.
        Its been going on since recruitment was invented.
        Its part and parcel of industry.
        Its one of the massive number of problems that the recruitment industry has.
        This practice will never change.

          It's not only to harvest CVs. It's also to ask for "references". Those references then get approached for sales, not to ask for any references and you won't hear from the agency again.

            Yes. References are only are given to the client.
