    London - contractor

    Hi guys,
Can anyone recommend a good old fashioned contractor accountant based in London?
Someone who can help me with my business and individual tax affairs?
Leaving Crunch in pursuit of a more local, personal client-accountant relationship!

Have you flicked through the thread on "Recommended Accountants" yet?

They don't need to be local to you or London based. In some ways that is a handicap.
    Blog? What blog...?

Find your local accountants via Google and look up TrustPilot for them.

The most important thing is to find out what software they use - you may have a preference that will help you to choose.

I tried the personal approach and it didn't work. Countractor type accounts are just a waste of time for them and I didn't get the personal service I thought I would from this set up even though it was more expensive than a sausage factory accountants. You won't be feeling loved if you were with Crunch so you've come from a bad example. Picking a better smaller accounting setup would give you a more personal approach and that right cost and right tools. If you want a smaller setup where you can speak to the boss and the like I'd recommend Sarah Solo at PaperRocket. Nikki won best accountant at the awards and they business has been runner up to the winner twice. Nice ladies.

Thanks for this recommendation. I've been looking to change accountancy firm for a while and despite trawling through the thread on recommendations I couldn't find any that really stood out for me. Paper Rocket sound interesting and ironically their office is only 15 minutes from where I live, I actually drive past their office regularly.
