The managed service companies that Gordo referrs to have largely ignored IR35, some dont do contract reviews or even bother to ask, they just put all contractors irrelevant of level/job etc, into a minimum wage and dividend product. Composite companies are the biggest culprits. This is what gordo has the problem with. If everyone who was caught by IR35 since 2000 had paid the correct tax then we probably wouldnt be even talking about this new tax law!!!
This change won't get backdated, ISTR that was in the original announcement
If I understand it correctly, big if there, it can only be backdated if the new rules are a result of a review of existing legislation and not brought about as a result of new legislation.
