This is particularly important in Financial Services / (Local) Government / Education and where there is an element of Security vetting.
What address do you use when opening a Business Banking Account? The Directors normally have to provide proof of residential address (Money Laundering).
The banks most definitely need an address and ID as Scruff says.

I still live in my old place, so I was able to provide the address now. Not sure what I will do in the future.
I'm surprised how important the permanent address is, especially with remote jobs more and more popular nowadays.Comment

Have a google for digital nomads and you should find like minded people who have found and recommend various services for personal or company address inc mail forwarding or storage.
I expect you will still need to provide initial proof of address if they are a legit service, to satisfy tax evasion (i.e. fake foreign residency to avoid local taxes) or money laundering rules and as this is a somewhat recent possibility (being able to work anywhere in the world with an internet connection) I expect the government rules and services provided to be lagging.
It's much simpler and cheaper to just use a close relative or friend's address than rely on third party services.Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.Comment

Actually, I bought a mailbox at CompaniesMadeSimple, but they still need my address to send filtered important mail.
Unfortunately, I can't give my parents a foreign address as I don't have a utility bill on my name there.
Anyway, thank you, guys.Comment
