Genuine question: is there an evaluation process to get on your psl? How do you know these guys are any good?

IPSE recommends brookson so personally I think S3 are providing a better set of recommendations regardless of kickbacks.

'Better' being open to interpretation here I guess?

              Any recommendations much appreciated!!
Depends on what you need. Bog standard cheap contractor accountant, small PAYE, dividends a few times a year, a few expenses, one invoice a month, flat rate VAT?

Or something more general, standard VAT, variable volumes, depreciations, perhaps the occasional temp staff etc?

So how much do each of these pay you? Do they pay a retainer to be on your list and how much per referral do they pay?

Is there any criteria to get on the list or is it simply the ones with the most cash get on?

Who on the earth are Clearwater? Never heard of them.

They are also a bit of pain to google. They are an umbrella not an accountants but even if you google Clearwater umbrella their company check page comes up before their website . On that fact I'd be out.
Interesting that the company check link brings up the fact their cash, network and assets are all around 30k

The website is far from compliant and tbh a pile of utter tulip.

EDIT: Ah Sky, not water.. Yes that would make sense.

Given that I rate brookson as worse than Darren Upton in the dodgy practices department I wouldn't say so.

Those of us who have been around a long time will know what they started off as before HMRC legislated away their original business model.
