    Going from the link I posted earlier, I don't think there is, it just has to clearly be primarily for the benefit of the employees. So a Christmas party for all employees, with a few representatives of your clients (or suppliers) would probably pass that test.

    The important thing being that if any household members or spouses of an employee attend, and the £150 limit is exceeded, the employee is chargeable to tax not only on the cost of their attendance but their guests too.

    That being said, this seems somewhat a moot point for most of us who at most will probably only go out for a meal with the wife!
