    iWatch as business expense?

We all know it took a while to get smart phones excepted as a valid business expense by HMRC. But what about smart watches ?
Im not after one but would be interesting to know.

Either (a) not a chance; or (b) claim it and hope you get away with it.

As long as you take it off at the end of work it should be ok

Have it on at 5.31 and it becomes a p11d benefit

On that matter, does anyone know if my work clothes and underwear are valid business expenses

If you're developing an app for the Watch, you'll need one to test it on.

I produce apps so its b.*

*OK I'm talking tulip but if you have a commercial reason for the watch it's b.

I think there's a fair chance that HMRC would claim duality of purpose - whatever else you can do on it a watch is designed to tell the time. It does tell the time I assume - you never know with these i gadgets

But my mobile phone tells me the time - the watch is only for development. Honest.
