It is good to see that sense has prevailed. Crazy situation to be put in.

Of course it is. But this case gives the appearance of placing the child without consideration of the child's welfare at all, but for some other yet to be disclosed reason. Nice that Tower Hamlets applied for (and were refused) and injunction preventing publication. Not just a corrupt, incompetent council, but cowardly as well (Eyes passim).

Newsnight are currently interviewing the journalist plus various random people.

The family there was a problem with was the first Muslim family NOT the second one she was placed with.

The placements with both families were only intended to be for 6 months.

However the child spent 4 months with the first family who caused the complaint, and two months with the second Muslim family there were absolutely no complaints about.

The person who raised the complaints was not the mother or any relation but someone else in Tower Hamlets who works in Social care. However this professionals' views are being disputed as all foster carers must speak English.

In addition the hearing to place the child with the grandmother has nothing to do with the journalist's story.

I should add I have a bias. The terrible foster carers I've been informed about want and only provide foster homes to older children as younger children require too much care and interaction, there as older ones can be ignored especially if they have a history of poor behaviour. The repercussions of this are obvious.

A few more details starting to emerge.

The judge, Khatun Sapnara, also disclosed in an order that the girl came from a family with a Muslim background, but were non-practising.
So not quite the "Christian girl placed with Muslim family" originally reported.

She added that the new arrangements were nothing to do with reports of the foster child in the press.

So given she is 5 and it is unlikely she even knows what different religions there are it is highly unlikely she had a Muslim background......

As you rightly say average white bread English Christian.

    Sapnara is a practising Muslim.

Read into that what you will.

    https://www.judiciary.gov.uk/wp-cont...s-20170830.pdf

    The actual court order.

    Key points -

The child's maternal grandmother is a non practicising muslim
The child's mother says she is of Christian Heritage
    The child's father is AWOL
The change of carer to the child's grandmother was not because of any problem with the current placement
The grandmother will be taking the child back to her country of origin
The grandmother required the documents to be interpreted.

The only conclusion I can draw, is that the reporting of the case was extremely biased.

I somehow suspect that the usual right wringers on here won't like this post as much as they did the ones about the foster family.

Some judges are practising Christians and knowing the sh*t some Christians believe are we to be afraid of their judgements as well?
