    Fake Network Engineer ? :)

There will be some of you that I'm sure won't care less (which is fine). I'm hardly going to lose sleep over it myself, however thought I'd post this, because I sort of would like an explanation?
I missed this yesterday, and just came across it this morning, thought wtf?, then smiled and wondered. Anyway.....

Andy(S3), I believe this is/was one of yours?

I can't for the life of me (apart from a real sh*t-for-brains agent), think how on earth this could be what I'm thinking, so what is/was this all about?

BTW: the job appears to have been removed now.

New to s3 cv harvesting tactics then?

That's a beautiful trophy. I just get the direct emails:

      Hello,

Apologies if this email has reached you in error.

Tangent are currently looking for Delivery Project managers to work a 3 month extendable contract.

If this sounds of interest to you, please send over your cv to *@tanint.com.

      Kind regards

I nearly fired back a response saying I was looking to move from my job as a Tesco's dispatcher and would like a few more details. Then I realised that the email would let them know I was alive so didn't.

So basically like every other computer futures job. X job in y location offering market rate+50%. Must be able to do imaginary work and commute to the office on a giant dragon. Email [email protected]

Well.... if that was a CV harvesting technique, then I reckon the agent that did it, must have just made a mistake and forgot to remove the 'fake' bit (sh*t-for-brains agent).
If it wasn't a mistake, then I'm lost... just what was the point of doing that. I can understand putting fake jobs on (and find the practice absolutely disgusting), but to actually use that word in the job title.... defeats the object of the exercise.

Probably went over one column too far when cut and pasting from the spreadsheet.

I keep saying, take a screen print when you see this sort of thing!

We had one a while back http://forums.contractoruk.com/gener...9-fake-ad.html - did the rounds on linked in. Screenshots next time! It got reported to ASA, but the excuse was that it was a training exercise and had accidentally been published.

LOL, wonder how big the spreadsheet was.... probably at least 1000 rows long

Cojak, the first thing I did was click on the advert, to expand it, but the advert wasn't there, so could only copy from the original feed I'm afraid. But also, I only saw the ad the next morning, so again, missed it. And yes, I've taken screenshots of things before that looked dodgy, and not necessarily on the jobs front either. So, I'm afraid that's all I have.
As regards the other thread..... well, I guess we all know what we think about that one, don't we.

There are an increasing number of ads these days that I see that just make me laugh, spelling, grammar mistakes etc and worse, but it's the first ever time that I've actually seen the word 'Fake' actually in the job title.... and probably the last... or maybe not?

https://www.google.co.uk/?q=site%3Ajobserve.com%20fake - top result (albeit a few months old, and, sadly not cached)
