    Pauses for thought...

Some random statements from the website:

Your money never leaves the country
    and
    The benefits of offshore trusts

Supported by the House of Lords
    and
    QC's opinion

    Fully insured
    and
You don't need to claim expenses

Perhaps not. Do you feel lucky?
    Blog? What blog...?

Seen this somewhere before - underwritten by LLoyds and disclosed to HMR&C - bound to be perfectly safe

But Lisa - the website says it's not tax avoidance. So it must be legit, right?

Perhaps they give you a free gladius when you sign up...you'll need it to battle HMRC a few years down the line.

Do the HMRC actually look over schemes on request and say 'yup, that's fine, we won't come after you, promise' - and give you a signed letter to that effect?

I've worked at the 'Ministry' here in Newcastle, I very much doubt it!

@OP: unless I am mistaken, you also appear to be caught up in the whole NTRT campaign. Is that not lesson enough for you to not get involved with these types of schemes?

              Apparently not, it would seem...

not sure if they are the same ones - but gladius consulting ltd was dissolved in 2006 then another one opened up in 2007 and was dissolved in 2011 according to duedil

find that a much better site to check things out, since company check started going off the rails.

Sites like this really piss me off, not just because of what they offer but the way they make big bold claims but the small print is different.

For example on the comparison page
                  Umbrella Company Comparison

In huge numbers.. 87% but below it in much smaller letters grey on grey it says..

Returns calculated on a daily rate of £350. Expenses are taken into account for all options with the exception of the Gladius option.

The Gladius return is based on a client receiving a fee discount based on a relationship with Gladius in excess of 24 months.

New clients can expect a maximum return of 85% depending on their individual circumstances.
I know all companies try and put their products in a better light than they are but this is just downright devious. Doesn't instill any confidence.

There is no address or company information anywhere which I thought was a legal requirement but digging around I find the Gladius Consulting c/o an accoutants firm. Gladius Consultaning as a company was wound up a few years ago (and doesn't look related to this venture).

I could go on but I just don't see any reason to put your livelyhood on the line for this even if it was totally risk free (don't even get me started on that claim!!)
