New here – happy to answer umbrella / contracting questions

First post here, though I’ve read the forum on and off for years.

For transparency, I’ve worked at Sapphire (umbrella & accounting provider) for just over 10 years, so I spend a lot of time dealing with IR35, umbrella pay, compliance, and the practical issues contractors actually care about.

I’m not here to sell or push anything - just happy to answer questions, sense-check situations, or explain how things work from the inside.

If I don’t know something, I’ll say so.

Fair enough, healthy scepticism! For what it’s worth, I’m genuinely here to contribute and learn, not to advertise. Happy to be judged on what I post rather than where I work. And thanks for the welcome - Merry Christmas to you all.
