I have to choose between 3 umbrellas, ICSUK, foretwogroup, Umbrella.co.uk

    Hello,

I am switching to an umbrella company soon and i was given a choice between

    ICSUK
    foretwogroup
    Umbrella.co.uk

I have searched thoroughly. I have seen one negative comment on umbrella.co.uk as being poor.
I saw some comment on ICS being involved in EBT loans, although not sure if it is the same one
    No reviews on foretwogroup.

The first two seem to offer salary sacrifice into a Sipp. Not sure about umbrella.co.uk.

    Any comments from anyone?

    Much appreciated.

    Who is the agency?

If they are making you choose from companies that offer EBT's then they should be reported

to be clear, ICSUK do not offer EBT loans currently.
All I saw is that some old threads about an umbrella called ICS offering EBT loans, not sure if it is the same.

Obtain quotes from all three, along with using the Contractor Umbrella calculator, if any of the quotes come in significantly higher than the calculator, they are doing something dodgy.

If that is the case, you should name and shame them on here, so more people can be made aware and not end up with tax bills.

All 3 offer pretty much the same return, they charge 20£ a week, pay apprenticeship levy (0.5%) and they all pay into a Sipp. (just got a confirmation from umbrella.co.uk). 57% take home pay on a daily rate of 650£. (20 days per month)

only difference is perks, which Foretwogroup don't seem to offer. The other 2 offer similar perks (Gym discounts, Phone GP consultations...)

That's a weird list. Never seen any of those offered before and isn't the standard FCSA big wigs. Is the agency interested in going with your choice and going through whatever diligence they need to add to the list. If so I'd put Clarity Umbrella forward and see if they would bend. My agency did when I was inside.

Can Clarity contribute to a SIPP (before all taxes?)

Check the Directors on Companies House for both companies.

That will generally tell you a story...

That's a good suggestion. I can find ICSUK easily on companies house.

Now to find out about the old ICS which offered EBT loans is no simple matter...
