    I am sure if he could have been in closer contact with the brolly he could have asked these questions and been advised better than a large faceless corporate that just let him carry on regardless.

    There was another thread recently about Giant not responding to someone while they got in a mess. Granted it was handled very poorly by the OP but I'm pretty sure if he could have gotten a reasonable response at least they would have put his expectations right before he had to come to us.

      That Giant thread (both of them) show that you can't help some people even if you tell them multiple times.

      Here it's the same - there is no way any umbrella firm could deduct the appropriate amount of tax under the circumstances without HMRC calculating and changing the tax code and the contractor would need to do ask HMRC to report what the tax code should be.
