How rugged is the Nexus 4? I mean how can it handle being dropped more than once.

I have a nokia C7 with it's own case but I'm a clumsy fecker at times, have dropped it a number of times during last 2.5 years but it still works fine.

Even when the 2 year old gets a hold of it! Been looking for a new work phone but I'm scared after the 1st time I drop it, it'll refuse to work.

Not a fan of huge phones, but warming to the Nexus 4.

He had a negative bluety on a quackhandle and was quadraspazzed on a lifeglug.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

I have a protective cover on mine along with a screen protector and like that it feels fine. I wouldn't want to drop it without a cover as it is glass backed.

You're right Moscow, the HTC One has no SD card or removable battery, in fact it fully sealed, there is no way of getting in without wrecking the phone... the problem with HTC phones is not the hardware or software but the fact that HTC dont give a sh!t about their phone (wrt updates) 3 months after they have released them!

Nexus 4 may well be worth a look, not a fan of samsung anymore as it seems like they are just cramming every feature they can think of (required or not) into their phones as they can...

My contract ends this month (Galaxy S2) and am considering waiting for the Note 3 later in the year.

Prob go for some sim only monthly contract til then.

I bought a bumper edge thing from Amazon for mine, and I'm weighing up getting one of these as well to protect the screen.

Depends what you drop it on! If you drop it on concrete a few times Im sure all phones will be damaged.

The Nexus 4 comes with the toughest gorilla glass (or so Google claim!). Mine was delivered with a screen protector fitted and I bought a decent case for it, not a cheapo £1.50 thing.

So I got the HTC One today and all I can say is that the build quality is unbelievable - this is a proper contractor phone and on build and looks its puts everything else to shame.

LOL and with a price tag of nearly 500 quid sim free, that truely is shameful.

This. Just buy a case. Who the hell has a phone with no case or anything on it nowadays. Go for one of the special tougher ones, something like the otter box.. Not the nicest looking case but they are there to do a job...
