Not sure that phones in general need a case - they are built in such a way so as to withstand normal usage, but in particular case of Nexus 4, while I don't have one, I agree, a bumper could come really handy.
In case of my wife's iPhone, kids dropped it multiple times and no problems so far. I don't let them touch my Nexus 4 yet, but I suspect it would take much less abuse to shatter the backside due to the design...

Real contractors don't waste money needlessly, every spare penny goes into the warchest/paying off the mortgage etc.

I'm in it to make money after-all.

I ordered a S4 yesterday. I got it on t mobile unlimited everything on their business plan for £30 a month plus VAT. The phone had an upfront payment of £120 but quidco were doing £100 off.

When the S2 came out I plumped for a motorola Atrix....the one with the finger print reader, that if you spent a further 300 you could turn it into a fully functioning and slow as fuk laptop. I think their sales in the UK were 1! I'm not making that mistake this time. This time I'm going for the popular brand that isn't Apple!

Phones go in handbags and pockets with things like keys and coins in them also.

Phones fall out of pockets and fall on pavements or hard floors.

So for a normal person who actually goes out of the house with their phone a case is a very good investment.

I've managed to sell my old mobile phones for their top second hand price because I've put it in a case and used a screen protector.

Isn't that like keeping the polythene on the seats of a new car. I think the Iphone looks nice from a design point of view. Then people put it in a bloody horrible case, so that for the duration that they own the phone it looks wank. At least it looks nice for the person who buys it off you!!

Men carry their phones in pockets.

                    HTH.

I've got one of those pouches with a pullstrap for the times when my N4 goes in a bag/glovebox, the rest of the time I use it naked.

I'd rather be careful than compromise such a lovely bit of kit.

                      Shameful bump, I know.

Looking for a cheap(ish) android for foreign sim usage but I want one decent enough that I can play/browse etc without it winding me up.

Soooo, Assume a budget of about £200, would you go for an S3 or Nex 4 since they are about the same price. Sim free obv.

                      TIA
